Tetovo Choir Conductors
The tradition must be kept and continued
Vlado Srbinovski - has been a conductor
of the choir since its renewal in 1990. He also manages the
Chamber mixed choir at the House of Culture. He has graduated
at the Music Academy in Skopje, Department for solo singing
in the class of Professor Milka Eftimova.
He has been devoted to choral conducting since 1983, from
the beginning of his work career.
He was born in Tetovo in 1959, and now he works as a teacher
in the High School "Kiril Pejcinovic" in Tetovo and in the
Music and Ballet School Centre "Ilija NIkolovski Luj" in
Skopje.
The Association of Composers of Macedonia awarded him as
the conductor with the most successful performance at the
Tetovo Choral Festival "TEHO '93". He has also been awarded
several other festival awards.
Milka Eftimova is at present a full professor and the Faculty
for Music Art in Skopje.Owing to her three decades active
work in opera and concert stages.For her active and highly
prolific work as a soloist ,Milka Eftimova is the bearer
of many acknowledgements. In the period between 1967 and
1984 Eftimova is the leading vocal in Ljubljana and Skopje
Operas where she accomplishes more than twenty leading roles.
Revealing another aspect of her integrity, Eftimova is a
very often guest on the concert stage through her recitals,
performances in numerous oratorios, her style varying from
Monteverdi to Honeger.. the critics call her the " Glorious
Carmen.
Gordana Antovska is working as my assistant conductor. She
has graduated at the Music Academy in Skopje in the section
of music theory and pedagogy as well as choir conducting
in the class of Proffesor Dragan Shuplevski. She had performed
as a conductor of the choirs under the House of Culture "Iljo
Antevski Smok" in Tetovo before home audience. In 1997 she
made her debut at the international scene as well. It was
at the Bedzih Smetana festival in Litomishel, The Chech Republic,
where the Chamber choir conducted by her won the bronze medal.
